"It had been an absolutely exhausting six-day business week, inlaws had just come in from Mexico City, and my wife calls me on my homeward bound Saturday commute with a polite request to detour and meet everyone at the Miami Grille in UTC. It was already dark out, and I just wanted to get in bed, curl up, and pass out. Grrrr!
I didn't know it at the time, but Manny Cepeda's Ritmo Caribe was performing live when I walked in the door. The music instantly started both to soothe and invigorate me, and even before my first drink hit the table I was out on the floor dancing out some of that built up stress. For the rest of the evening, the orginality and style of Manny's music took me back to the relaxed times of many a forgotten tropical vacation. Wow!"
