"This New Year the San Diego Salsa Community salutes Manny Cepeda for his graceful Salsa and Caribbean Jazz Music!
Today Manny brings out the best in everyone with his talented "Ritmo
Caribe" band. He has evolved as a Puerto Rican with musical talents
of over 48 years and as a Professional that spurs the Island's passion
and historical rhythms. He has performed professionally since the age
of 7 years old when he was the leader of a 14-piece Salsa Band and performed
in National TV for the Mid-day variety show in San Juan Puerto Rico's
Channel 4. After his musical education in the Conservatory of Music
Pablo Casals, in Puerto Rico, and finishing his musical degrees, Manny
joined the U.S. Navy Music Program in 1973. He has lead many Navy Band
throughout the U.S. and Overseas. He was the leader of the famous Navy
Steel Band and the world traveled U.S. Navy Show Band.
Manny combines the concept of the music from the Caribbean, Salsa, Merengue, and Cuban music to create a flavor of Latin music unique to his group. The group functions as a mix of live performances and the highest technological aide of Sample Sequenced Music to create enthusiasm guaranteed to satisfy your emotions.
